The Supreme Council of Earth was the ruling body of the planet Earth. In the late 2260s, a councillor (unnamed Humans) of the Supreme Council was sent to entreat Doctor Alfred Bleikoff to stop criticizing the Earth government in his speeches. Bleikoff, who had recently been released from suspended animation in a cryonics capsule, was able to convince the councillor to abandon this effort. It was later revealed that an alien civilization had encountered the doctor's capsule and tampered with Bleikoff's brain, giving him the ability to hypnotize Humans to convince them to leave their planet undefended. (TOS comic: "Prophet of Peace")

Its status as a supreme council would seem to set it apart from the United Earth Parliament or United Earth Council.
