- Superpowers are essentially modern nations with devastating power at their disposal. These nations are best kept on their 'sweet' side to restrict probability of an attack from them.

- Superpowers are what people are born with. A person cannot learn them, or train to achieve them, one must be born with them. Period. Superpowers come from the gut, never the head. Thinking is the bane of all superpowers. For a primer on superpowers and how they can help America and the American Family rent the movie The Incredibles. This movie shows that the bad guy is the one who is not born with superpowers, but not only studies hard and invents things, he invents a machine that thinks for itself! Nothing says evil like a machine that thinks for itself.
- Superpowers are things that you will never have, things that people could use to save people's lives, things that people could use to ruin the universe....things that could make a difference.... Basically put, superpowers are powers that every superhero (except that bat guy) and supervillain has. They include X-Ray Vision (useful when you're looking at hot chicks), heat vision (useful when you want to make yourself a cup of coffee), flying (you can make airplane noises while flying if you wish), and super strength.

The moral of the story? Ability is something you are born with, learning things is evil.

They include X-Ray Vision (useful when you're looking at hot chicks), heat vision (useful when you want to make yourself a cup of coffee), flying (you can make airplane noises while flying if you wish), and super strength. Unfortunately, many of these superpowers come with a superhero weakness, for instance, if you wanted to get rid of Superman, crush him under seven tons of kryptonite or something... For some reason though, most superheroes have never mastered the arts of reality warping, which is a good thing as it would make comics pretty boring! Some people use their powers responsibly (like Spider-Man), while others use it to do despicable things (like Doctor Octopus). So if you fall into nuclear waste or something like that, use your superpowers responsibly!

This Alternative history explores a possible timeline where two isolated divergences prevent the fall of some of the most prosperous civilizations, creating a world dominated by Superpowers.
