abstract	He played junior hockey for the Montreal St Francois from 1931 to 1934 and played senior hockey for the Montreal St Francois Xavier in 1933-34. In 1935-36 Raymond, who was also worked for the Quebec Provincial Police, played for the Atlantic City Sea Gulls and then moved to the senior Montreal Canadiens in 1936-37 and the Montreal Concordia Civics in 1937-38. The 200 lb. defenceman caught the eye of the NHL Montreal Canadiens and was signed as a free agent in February, 1938. He finished the season for the Canadiens, playing in 11 regular season games (scoring 2 assists) and in 2 playoff games (going scoreless). Raymond returned to the Civics in 1938-39 and then got another 11 game callup with the Habs in 1939-40, scoring another assist. But the Canadiens had not figured Raymond in their long-term plans and he finished the season with the Providence Reds. After playing two seasons of senior hockey in Quebec, Raymond retired in 1942.
