A Bible college is a tertiary education institution for the purpose of instructing students to prepare them for ordination to Christian ministry (i.e., clergy) or for Christian mission service. Bible colleges tend to be evangelical or fundamentalist and may also focus more on lay education. They exist mainly in countries which are largely Protestant. Seminaries also provide theological education and are also known as theological colleges, particularly in the United Kingdom. They usually offer professional graduate degrees (i.e. M.Div., M.Th., D.Min., etc.).
