Andy Sloan is a public defender in Miami who is about to go into private practice, also likes to drive fancy cars, visit bars and flirt with ladies. Previously, he and James "Sonny" Crockett butted heads over a case involving a dealer named Rojas who was busted by Crockett, after Sloan was assigned his case multiple "professional" witnesses came forward and got Rojas off, one of those witnesses was arrested by Crockett on an unrelated charge, and found out the witnesses were paid off by the ounce (of cocaine, except for Sloan, who got a kilo).
