Das Schreien von Frauen und Kindern schallte durch die Wälder Cimmeriens, verlassene Waisen streiften durch die Ebenen Aquiloniens, doch kaum jemand hatte den Mut sich zu erheben und so der Invasion einhalt zu gebieten. Die Wenigen die es taten, starben schnell, erdrückt von der Überzahl der Dämonischen Truppen. Es dauerte lange, die Dämonen standen schon vor der Hauptstadt Tarantia, bis einige Widerstandskämpfer erkannten wo der Schlüssel zum Sieg lag. Gemeinsam wollten sie kämpfen, geschlossen wollten sie stehen, weder wanken noch aufgeben, dies waren ihre Gedanken als sie dem Heer des Chaos gegenüber traten.
