| - Captain Planet is a television show in which 5 children/adolescents have special rings which, when held up to the sky and yelling it's attribute, summons Captain Planet.
- Captain Planet was the main hero of the cartoon series of the same name, he was an environmental-themed hero who was born as part of Mother Earth's quest to stop humanity from destroying itself and the environment - he would be formed when the power of all the rings were combined, the rings represented an element of nature and thus Captain Planet himself represented all the positive forces of nature and it was his job to defend nature from those who would destroy it.
- Captain Planet is the titular superhero and main character of Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Known for his good heart and snarky attitude, Captain Planet defends the world against pollution, radiation and various other forms of harm.
- Radical Occupy terrorists brainwash Stan Smith in a plot to use missiles to re-scupt some of Mount Rushmore's figures into those of leftist heroes including Sean Penn, Michael Moore and Captain Planet in "Honey, I'm Homeland". Thanks to Hayley's intervention, Stan breaks the brainwashing but the missiles are still launched. They are taken out by a CIA installed anti-missile laster defense the entire plot is revealed to have been a test of the system.
- Captain Planet is a superhero in the animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers and The New Adventures of Captain Planet. He was voiced by David Coburn.
