Kolto was the callsign of a clone commander pilot from Chandor Prime, during the Star Wars. He was based on an unknown Mandalorian warrior template that was contracted by the cloners on Chandor. He was a commander for the Republic Navy and he commanded under the Open Circle Fleet banner, and was commissioned aboard the Inception. He was nicknamed "Kolto" due to an injury early in his career that required medical care, but due to a shortage of available bacta, he underwent kolto treatment. Another reason behind his nickname was his refusal to take medical care for injuries in combat because of self-described pride and he didn't trust bacta or kolto to do its job. Many clones described him as as one of the toughest and most gung ho commanders in the whole of the Republic military.

He was forced to wear a special flight suit or armor during his military campaigns that sealed his body from the elements and kept his body stable via a life-support system. He was very quiet and introverted, he rarely spoke or spent time with his fellow soldiers and preferred to speak about mission details. He was willingly open once his superiors put him through individuality training and encouraged camaraderie. He felt a certain loyalty to his Jedi officers and held a higher respect, as well as opinion, for them over the political entity of the Republic. He confided that he felt the Jedi could run the Republic better and they understood the troops better. He even said that he would support a Jedi coup had they attempted one.
