Penalmont is a locality in Cape Cross province, Mariana, famous for having only five inhabitants. The name comes from the Barzuna "ped nal mont", meaning foot of the mountain, as it is located near the Coastal mountains of the parish. It is both the smallest in area and least populous municipality in Mariana. It is located near the locality of Prinsenberg, to the northeast. Penalmont has 10 buildings; six are in permanent use, three are largely abandoned and one is rented out to backpackers or campers.
