He later joins the caravan that departs from Thistleshrub Valley[[:File:|[, ]]] and travels into Uldum, only to be captured along with everyone else by pygmies. The caravan members escape their captors as part of the introductory quests to that zone. Mack joins several of his fellow escapees into the friendly village of Mar'at[[:File:|[, ]]] where he is a quest giver.
