A Security robot (警備ロボ Keibi Robo?) is an automated cylindrical machine designed to protect security, and enforce rules. It is specifically stated as a mobile criminal surveillance device. Each unit costs 1.2 million yen. It can be found all over and only in Academy City. Like the Cleaning robot, it is cylindrical in shape, and with it, it is one of the most noticeable features of the scientific advancement of the city.

Similar to Recon Mechs, they can sound an alarm to get the attention of other enemies and fire a DRoW-Z beam . Its battle sound is Battle Sound 54 which falls under Code Numbers 921 for regular attack, 922 for Smaaaash! and 923 for Miss. However, like Recon Mechs, because it never uses regular attacks that play a battle sound on its own, Kumatora must use Brainshock on it to get it to use a regular attack.

However, most are used in civilian installations such as warehouses, factories, and power plants. A cahelium-strengthened 'skeleton' combined with an ultra-strong outer casing ensures that no intruder, once caught, can escape the robot's clutches until the prisoner release program is activated. Release bolts to remove its head and neck allow access to removable central computer. The central computer operates the robot's systems automatically, and can relay information via the twin antenna to a control room if required. Used together with the central computer, a gyroscope ensures the robot's balance is maintained when patrolling premises or apprehending intruders. Audio sensors pick up sound and atmospheric vibration caused by intruders while automatically eliminating movement caused by other security robots. A 360° all round proximity sensor prevents the robot from colliding with walls, corridors, or furniture. It is used in conjunction with the 3D visual sensor unit, which serves as the robot's 'eyes'. The neck joint is capable of rotating the robot's head 360°. Auxiliary power batteries are built into the skeleton frame of each leg. An LCD screen displays the robot's identification number and robot systems diagnostic information. Computer-controlled switchable electric magnets ensure the robot remains stable on metallic floors when walking or restraining prisoners. The robot utilises a night vision and infra-red visual sensor.
  • Security robots are autonomous surveillance devices that roll around, patrolling the perimeter of any given area they are assigned to. They assist guards by plugging gaps in security and alerting guards to intruders. When an intruder is spotted, it will either alert nearby guards or call reinforcements. They have an LED display on their "face", showing "emotions" for programmed responses corresponding to their current status. They can be hacked in three different ways: they can be powered off temporarily, they can be turned into a "party bot" or be turned into a "love bot." As the names suggest, the party bot sequence makes them dance and play music, and the lovebot sequence makes them display pink heart eyes on their LED displays. The "love bot" mode will cause them seek out nearby NPC's and charge into them, knocking them out. They can usually be found patrolling important buildings, but they are also common in wealthier neighborhoods of the Bay Area, being used to guard homes from intrusion.

On either side of its head is an audio sensor for picking up atmospheric and sound vibration made by intruders, and automatically ignores the other security robots' movement. In the neck is a joint that allows their head to turn 360°. On its back are two antennae that, if needed, relay audio-visual and computer information from its central computer to the control room. Bolts on the upper torso are capable of being taken off, giving access to its removable central computer. In its torso is the central computer which automatically operates the systems, and relays information to the twin antennae, so it can then be relayed to the control room. Below the central computer is micro fusion power unit which has a protection shield. Below this is a gyroscope which works in conjunction with the central computer and makes sure their balance is sustained. Below this is the computer-controlled leg joint coordination unit which makes sure that running and walking operations are kept as smooth as possible. Either side of this is a servo motor for the leg it is on the same side as. Protruding out the end of their left arm between the two pincers is a laser gun, with its power cell located just inside next to the laser gun's end. In the skeleton frame of each leg are auxiliary power batteries, and in its feet are computer-controlled switchable electric magnets to help it balance on metallic floors at all times.

They appear twice in the game, as security workers for Goltica in his Goltica Chocolate Factory. Their first appearance is in the Chocolate Factory Game event, where they are running rampant due to their programming becoming corrupt. When you are within close proximity of their detection range, they will target and aggressively charges towards you, resulting in spinning you out. Once you have reset the factory's operations by pressing the main button on the power box, the robots return back to their normal state of factory security patrol. Their second appearance is in the Chocolate Factory Searching Game event, where they can now be seen calmly patrolling the factory. Interestingly, despite the fact you returned the factory to its normal state previously, they still have the ability to detect and charge at you.
