The Drill is an item in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. As the name suggests, it is a projectile item that fires a large drill. The drill's hitbox will hit multiple times, allowing it to easily break shields or, upon a successful hit, drag the enemy along in the direction it is fired. The projectile is very hard to DI out of, causing a trapped victim to either be dragged off of the stage for a KO or be trapped against a wall, hit continuously until the drill explodes. After firing the drill its base will remain in the user's hand. It can then be thrown for a surprisingly large amount of knockback, similar to a hammer head. Both the drill and the thrown base can be reflected.
