| - In her civilian life, Barbara Gordon may be sitting on tech research that could be a gold mine…and in her life as Batgirl, she’s cracked the code that might enable her to take down massive police corruption in Burnside! It’s time for Batgirl to level up—but she’s going to need allies on both fronts. Enter the Spoiler! Summary of Stephness: During a shadowy meeting with Lewis of the Forster Lane gang, Batgirl learns that Spoiler, who she met back in Batgirl Annual #3, is in grave danger from the Hasigawa family because of her stand against Eiko's massacre in Catwoman #46. Lewis suggests that if the Hasigawas think that Spoiler has backing from the Batfamily, they will back off. Working with Frankie using the tracking bracelet she gave Spoiler in the Annual, Babs finds Spoiler surrounded by at least twelve ninjas. Armed with a staff, Stephanie takes out about half a dozen of them, when a specialist from Osaka named Mokugeki appears. Wearing a mask, he holds up a red and a blue card for Steph to choose. Taking the red option, she discovers she has chosen a death by blood over a death by suffocation. As Mokugeki attacks with Wolverine-style fist blades, Steph vaults over his attack, but her staff attack has no effect. Babs bashes Mokugeki aside with her bike, and strategizes a dual-attack with Steph. Together, they defeat the specialist, and Batgirl then convinces the Hasigawas that Steph is under her protection, for which Steph is both grateful and spunky, insisting she could have handled the problem herself. Babs stashes Steph is one of Luke's crash-pads for her own safety, where Steph looks forward to doing "normal" things like watching movies on Netbox.
