Terrified of her response thinking that I had made the biggest mistake of my life with that idiocy of a confession I was in shock when she jumped into my arms. I nearly died a happy man when she said that she loves me also, with so many kisses it was a truely perfect night. When a small grey bird landed on the floor, I took a message from it leg and started to open it then realized this is Scarlets house so it must be her message and gave it to her unopened. Taking the message from Lordmar, she opens it and quickly scans the contents. She is surprised and touched by Jrtd's revealing words. In the short time she had come to know him, she had grown close to him and considered him a good friend. Rereading what he has written, she decides she must go speak with him tomorrow. She couldnt bear to think that she may have hurt him in any way, even though it may have been unintentional. Handing the note to Lord, she walks over to the window and stares out into the distance. Even though she had handed the note too me, I felt unsure at which I should read it or not. I held it in my hand as I watched her go to the window and gaze out of it. I cold not help but to notice that she was disturbed what is in my hand, I asked her "What is it?"as I slowly unrolled it. The first thing that had jumped out at me was the signature of Jrtd, I let go of the bottom and rolled itself back up. I felt the pain return as I couldn't help but to wonder, even though she said she loved how doth she feel upon him? I paused after the question but she remained silent staring out at the night. I took a few steps closer to her, "What is it Scarlet?"I said with a louder but soft voice and I could even feel the uncertainty confined within it. She maintained her silence and felt my heart begin to sink for I knew she was looking out at Jrtd. Even though I held the letter in my hand I could not bear it too look and I began to feel as though it burnt me as a flame so I laid it upon the table. I sat down in the chair and felt the depression comming on like she had settled for me. Something in Lordmar's voice caused her to turn, and she regarded him silently for a minute. Slouched in the chair, his despair was evident upon his face. Crossing to him she knelt in front of him, holding his face between her hands. What causes you such sorrow, Love? I thought his words would make you happy. Confusion was evident in her eyes. Are you having second thoughts? Stiffening suddenly, she draws back. Are you so ready to toss me aside?.. Thou dost not trust my words are true? Her eyes flash with anger now, as she sees the truth of her words reflected in his eyes. And her heart wrenches in her chest, and she wonders that he should doubt her love. She loved him with everything within her. What had she done to deserve this?
