| - Neil Harold Blunson (b. 15 July 2322) is the MP for Ampton since 2349 and the leader of the Liberal Progressive Party also since 2349. He became notable following his win (see Liberal Progressive Party leadership election, 2349) despte his young age and lack of political experience (he was a sitting local councillor at the time). Blunson was born in Ampton, Dirlana in 2322 as the second of three children of a lower-middle class family. He grew up in the city until age 11, when he fled into Northern Merkan with his family following an overwhelming threat from fascist troops advancing towards the area. Blunson became a resident of Ampton, under Free Union of Kirlawa territory under the Four-State Solution, once again in 2338. He became politically active around this time, and officially became a member of the Liberal Progressives in 2340 aged 18. He ran for local council in 2341 unsuccessfully, and went to Nisira University where he became a member of the Student Representative Council when elected in 2342. He ran again for Ampton City Council in the Bluefields ward successfully in 2347. He quickly gained a support base with his radical new ideas, and in September 2348 entered the Liberal Progressive leadership race. He surprised many when he surprisingly won backing from many figures on both sides of the party, and pulled off a win in the February ballot on a platform of grassroots democracy and builiding community links. Although at the time not a MP, he entered Parliament in the federal election of September of that year winning the Ampton district from the Angelis incumbent. The young MP became Foreign Minister in the 2352 cabinet reshuffle and became a leading voice in the nation, calling for a distinctly left-wing line with an increasing solidarity with the socialists in Dundorf. In 2357, Blunson accepted support from socialistic troops in Dundorf to the outcries of party rightists, and he became Prime Minister in 2363 following the resignation of Kirlawan Democratic Labour members. In 2369 he was at the forefront of negotiations in the creation of the People's Republic of Kirlawa.
