The Character models The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings are created by Bartlomiej Gawel, lead concept artist at CD Projekt RED. He used the ZBrush graphic software for it. ZBrush is a digital sculpting tool which enables you to create high resolution models in 3D, 2D and 2,5D formats as well as for painting, texturing and modeling. This program is mainly used to work with depth information for creating organic figures. In the broad sense ZBrush is digital sculpturing. With several dynamic subdivision levels of an object the artist can work on details of a figure. The artist can still apply Zbrush to objects of a very high number of polygon data and the program works fluently. This is one of the advantages towards other 3D modeling software.
