The jreel was an object containing the essence of spirit of the first three kings of the planet Vulcan. In appearance it was a pinkish-white pyramid, an arm's length on each side, which pulsed with a soft light. The jreel was one of the treasures evacuated from Vulcan aboard the starship Le-Troska during the civil war in the time of Surak. According to one account, the jreel was found thousands of years later on Abigail, a moon of the planet Cathy in the Novak system, by a USS Enterprise landing party led by Commander Spock.
