Jean Barbanson (December 19, 1905 - May 10, 1940) was a Belgian hockey player who played for the Belgian National Team at the World Championships in 1934 and 1935. Barbanson played club hockey for Brussels IHC. He also served as the club's vice president from 1936-1940. He was killed in a fire after the aircraft hangar he was working at was bombed in World War II. He was honored with the "Jean Barbanson Challenge" tournament, which was played during the 1940s.
