Corydoras geoffroy is a tropical freshwater fish belonging to the Corydoradinae sub-family of the Callichthyidae family. It originates in coastal rivers in South America, and is found in Suriname and French Guiana. It was described by Bernard Germain Étienne comte de La Ville-sur-Illon La Cépède in 1803 and is the type species for the genus Corydoras.
