  • Mr. X was Professor Isaac Belfour's assistant until the night Mr. X stole the invisibility potion and used it on himself to embark on a life of crime. He later abducted Melody Valentine, Alexander and Alexandra and demanded that she give him the formula for the antidote.

Mega Man proceeds to stop him and his robots, and when he reaches him inside Mr. X's Castle, Mr. X attempts to stop the hero with the X Crusher, but fails. After his defeat, he revealed to be Dr. Wily in disguise and escapes to his Wily Castle.
  • Mr. X is a Kremling who was set to appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. He did not appear in the final game at all, only to have a cameo in the German instruction booklet of DKC2, and also appeared in Nintendo Power 76. The name "Mr. X" was most likely a mere placeholder for the planned name, but this was not confirmed. It has been confirmed by Steve Mayles that Mr. X was simply an early version of Kackle [2].
