Vincelette started his National Hockey League career with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1986. He also played for the Quebec Nordiques. He left the NHL after the 1992 season. He played junior for the Drummondville Voltigeurs from 1984 to 1987 and was chosen 74th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. In 1986-87 he played in three playoff games for the Hawks and then played two full seasons. In 1989-90 he was sent down to the minors and just after that was traded to the Quebec Nordiques. Vincelette only played 27 games for the Nords before being traded back to the Hawks in 1991. He played his last NHL games in 1991-92 for the Hawks.
