- Walkers are alien machines in the 2005 film H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, which came out the same year as the Spielberg version. They are 6 legged death machines which go up to 60 feet in height and are dark brown in color. The aliens that control them are light green crab-like aliens with four legs instead of Wells idea of them being plump octopus looking martians. The walkers also have weapons which come out from their sides like saws and beams which are used to slice open people.
- The walker, also known as a dumbbell, and also referred to slangily as the blue planet, is a monster which looks like the planet Uranus: a turquoise ball with a gray axis tilted at 45 degrees, and works similar to the pink ball, glider and fireball, but chooses a random direction out of all legal directions to turn when it runs into something. This movement pattern can often lead to fits of frustration among even the highest-level Chipsters, and particularly among less experienced groups. Like the bug, the walker dies in water and on bombs, and treats fire as a wall.

It was there he meet Ariannaleigh who he would later make the crew The Drop Off with. In July of 2006 Walker meet Irishgoddes. In August of 2006 they married and are still together. It is at this time between September and November that Walker was made king of Deadman's Vengeance.

Their AI consists of sliding slowly along the ground, and every frame, they have a 1/100 chance to switch direction. Their movement speed is so slow (0.1 pixels per frame) that they are the slowest mobile species family in the entire game. Walkers can not climb any hills no matter how small the hills are. They can also be found on top of hills, but only if they spawn there. Some Walkers have melee attacks, while some Walkers can spit ranged projectiles to attack characters. This is one of the largest species family in the entire game. There are 38 different Walkers throughout the game thus far.

- Vryer's laboratory is an abomination beyond description and it’s not unheard of to find parts that have survived his experiments only to be prematurely discarded. This was certainly the case for his latest experiment that first floated in the sewers before ending up in the bay surrounding the La Junta's base. The creature would have been destroyed by a rather distressed Davis had it not been for Naginata's timely intervention. Overcome with compassion and a scientific interest in the deformed creature, Naginata implemented all her ingenuity (and a large part of the base's electrical appliances) to create a machine capable of patching up the poor sod. And it couldn't have gone better as the thing she now calls Walker has recovered a man's face and body and can even lay claim to a superhuman
