The 1950-17 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on October 15, 1950. Herb Thomas won his first ever race, leading 135 of the 200 laps in route to a one-lap victory on Lee Petty. Eventual season champ Bill Rexford did not compete in the event. Stats
