Like the other film types (save for Type-Zero), the number denotes its relative strength and loading time. Type-61 film is known for having moderating exorcising strength and short loading time, and as such appears less frequently in the environment. Type-61 first appears in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly as a moderately strong film type. It takes its green-colored appearance from that of Type-37 Film found in Fatal Frame. It also has equivalent exorcising strength and loading time.
