In the period of Turkish menace, a fence had been built around the church. From around 1530 the church and also the presbytery had been occupied by Protestants, until 1673 where Catholics have regained it. In 1754 the church had been reconstructed. The romanesque vault has been changed for baroque one, which endured until now. In 1928, general reconstruction had been performed, during which the chancel had been rebuilt and the side entrance had been bricked up. The most recent restoration had occured in 1972 – 1973. Nowadays, the church belongs to the presbytery of the nearby village Dobrá Niva. *
