Christians take the Bible with a reverent attitude. They *may* wash or chant prayers for purity of thought, word and deed before taking up the Bible, but nothing is prescribed. Sikhs do ablutions before holding their holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib. Muslims do ablutions before entering the Mosque.
