- Black Zero (ブラックゼロ Burakku Zero?)', also known as ??? in Mega Man X8 and referred to as Nightshade Zero on the box of a figure by Jazwares is an upgrade for Zero that appears in most of the Mega Man X series games. It is similar to the Ultimate Armor in that it is usually accessible by a secret code, save for Mega Man X: Command Mission where it is used as his Hyper Mode. Except for Command Mission, this armor is never actually named in-game, and cannot be unequipped in Mega Man X4-X6 once received.
- Black Zero is a name shared by two supervillains, two terrorist organizations, and a computer virus that have all appeared in various comic book series published by DC Comics. The most recent Black Zero supervillain first appeared in Superboy #63 (May 1999) and was created by Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett.

In one of their most famous battles, Black Zero held their battlefield at the city of Kandor, with Major Zod leading the charge (Alia, Basqat, Coats, Faora, and Vala) against the rebellion. The rebellion managed to destroy the entire city of Kandor, with the wife and son of Zod being caught in the catastrophe. For his loss, it gave Zod the strength to win the war, by 'driven them back to the ice and decimated their ranks' as he might say. And to work with Brainiac to destroy Krypton.
- Black Zero, in various forms in different continuities, is a villain (or villainous organization) that contributed to the destruction of Krypton. In the pre-crisis continuity, he was a singular villain, who claimed responsibility for the planet's destruction. Post-crisis, they're a violent anti-clone rebellion movement on Krypton. They also appeared in Smallville, where Major Zod is shown leading troops against them.
- Black Zero was an alternate version of Superboy from a reality in which Superman never returned from the dead after his battle with Doomsday. This reality mirrored the main continuity with Paul Westfield, the Executive Director of Project Cadmus, secretly using his own cellstock for his team of scientists to immediately create a human clone that would be genetically engineered to look like Superman with powers deriving from a telekinetic field. Instead of the Newsboy Legion clones releasing him prematurely, the clone went through the full artificial maturation process to match the age of the original and became the new Superman.
