| - SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Razor is howling off toward the outskirts of the system, running interference for the V-Wing squadron nearby it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: SFS Prowler and his squadmates seem to be in hot persuit. And it doesn't look like they're going to back off, either. SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Omega Leader and wingmates cling close to the X-Wing squadron, but they are slower, larger bombers, and might not make it out of the system in time, with the TIEs in hot persuit! SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Razor abruptly peels off from escorting the bombers and shrieks toward the approaching TIEs, slicing round and coming back in at an oblique angle, to cover the bombers. Red missiles streak out from under the wings ... SPACE: Black Razor launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 9 [SFS Prowler 8] and hits, severely damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 2 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 12 [SFS Prowler 11] and hits, severely damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 3 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 8 [SFS Prowler 7] and hits, severely damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 4 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 5 [SFS Prowler 4] and hits, severely damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 5 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 2 [SFS Prowler 1] and hits, severely damaging it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Omega wheels around quickly, suddenly finding itself and friends without X-Wing support. A moment of indecision, then the bombers scatter in evasive maneuvers, firing laser cannons, while trying to gain as much ground-- space, as possible. SPACE: Black Omega fires its 2 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 7 [SFS Prowler 6] and hits, seriously damaging it. SPACE: Black Omega 2 fires its 2 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 6 [SFS Prowler 5] and hits, seriously damaging it. SPACE: Black Omega 3 fires its 2 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 11 [SFS Prowler 10] but misses it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: SFS Prowler was hit suddenly both from the front and from behind. After yelling orders to his squadmates, they all separate and begin to engage the X-wings..and it doesn't seem like there is any backup in sight. SPACE: SFS Prowler fires its 2 Laser Cannons at Black Razor 4 [Black Razor 3] but misses it. SPACE: SFS Prowler 2 fires its 2 Laser Cannons at Black Razor 4 [Black Razor 3] and hits, modestly damaging it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Razor weaves between green laser bolts, its S-foils unfurling into attack position as it banks and turls. Its wingmates are not so nimble or so lucky as they come around for another pass in a howl of engines, but their shields splash with light as they repel the blasts from the TIEs. The lead X-Wing's R2 unit signals to the bombers, Retreat -- Retreat -- ... even as the X-Wings come round in echelon left and open fire with their red quad lasers! Zwat! Zwat! SPACE: Black Razor fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 11 [SFS Prowler 10] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 2 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 11 [SFS Prowler 10] but misses it. SPACE: Black Razor 3 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 9 [SFS Prowler 8] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 4 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 7 [SFS Prowler 6] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Omega doesn't waste any time, her orders clear. The Leader directs her squadronmates to follow her out further into the system, engines leaving a fine blue glow! SPACE - In the Bothan System: SFS Prowler Leader grits his teeth and attempts to lock onto the lead ship from the Black Razors. He fires again, calling upon all of his years of training to stay alive in this conflict. If he could only just make the other pilot make a mistake. Red lasers fire at their intended targets. At last the leader of the X-Wings begins to take damage. Fire splashes across its forward deflector screens as it goes head-to-head with the TIE and then swishes past under it, its engines shrieking. Its wingmates dive harmlessly through the gaps in the TIE formation, but the lead X-Wing comes almost close enough to clip the TIE, close enough for the TIE pilot to see -- if he's looking closely -- the helmeted head of a woman inside the canopy. A woman grasping her control yoke for dear life. Around she comes, trying desperately to turn fast enough -- reverse thrusters blaze -- the X-Wing leader spins round, sighting the nearest TIE, and squeezes off lasers, as its wingmates swoop round. Their formation is broken, but they move at deadly speed and each maneuvers skillfully. SPACE: Black Razor fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler [SFS Prowler Leader] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 2 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler [SFS Prowler Leader] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 3 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 3 [SFS Prowler 2] and hits, critically damaging it. But he's got more important things to worry about as fire splashes over his ship and his engine took a direct hit, causing it to smoke. He decreases speed, dropping from formation while executing a a barrel roll so that he can manuver behind the other squad leader. He activates his comlink and speaks, "Lady, I don't know who you are, but you're one hell of a pilot. It's been a pleasure." Switching channels, he orders what's left of his own squad to stand and fight. They might loose this battle, but they will die with honor. He squeezes the trigger control on his yoke, firing once again at the other ships. SPACE: SFS Prowler fires its 2 Laser Cannons at Black Razor 4 [Black Razor 3] and hits, modestly damaging it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: Black Razor twists left and right, green lasers searing through space on either side of her; even as two of her wingmates take heavy fire, she dives suddenly down out of the line of fire and up, coming around at an angle and trying to lock on with missile targeting systems. Her comsys crackles on, and her voice comes distorted, raspy, through the interference. "SKSHSSHHHhhh ... got a lot of guts ... kshshkshhhh ... Never seen podfighters so fast ... Razor 4, be careful! Lock on ..." She is painting the SFS lead ship; when she fires, other red missiles streak out from the other X-wings, following her transponder signal, as she holds the line of sight for a moment longer, then breaks away at an angle, engines burning. SPACE: Black Razor launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 3 [SFS Prowler 2] and 2 hit, destroying it. SPACE: Black Razor 2 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 8 [SFS Prowler 6] and hits, critically damaging it. SPACE: Black Razor 3 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 7 [SFS Prowler 5] and hits, destroying it. SPACE: Black Razor 4 launches 2 Concussion Missiles at SFS Prowler 10 [SFS Prowler 7] and 2 hit, destroying it. SPACE - In the Bothan System: SFS Prowler Leader closes his eyes briefly from the blinding light as Prowlers 11, 10, 7, and 3 go down in a blaze of light and fire. He banks around, ducking and dodging through crimson laser fire. And instantly he knew that one thing was for certain as he comes around for another pass. This would be his last battle. It twists, and rolls to the right, firing its pink engines a few shades brighter as it rises once more, rounds a piece of space junk, and comes head-on toward the TIEs, followed by its wing mates. All the X-Wings have routed all power to their forward deflector screens, and space crackles with energy in front of them as they fire quad lasers head on into the TIEs they are charging rampantly toward! "I have you now," rasps the lady-voice. SPACE: Black Razor fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler 9 [SFS Prowler 6] and hits, destroying it. SPACE: Black Razor 2 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler [SFS Prowler Leader] and hits, destroying it. SPACE: Black Razor 3 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler and hits, but does not damage it. SPACE: Black Razor 4 fires its 4 Laser Cannons at SFS Prowler and hits, but does not damage it.
