He almost died from head injuries whilst filming the Flip movie Sorry. Finnish skateboarders voted Arto Saari to the list of 100 Greatest Finns in a vote held during the summer of 2004 by the Finnish Broadcasting Company. Arto Saari reached 26 in the list. However, Saari is almost unnoticed in Finnish mainstream media. Today, Arto Saari is sponsored by Alien Workshop, Gravis Footwear, Analog Clothing, Ricta Skateboard Wheels, CCS, and Destructo Trucks.
