A peaceful solution on how to distribute the formula was reached when Nicolae Carpathia, the newly elected President of Romania who was made the new Secretary-General of the United Nations (which soon became the Global Community) at the time of the Rapture, brought forth a treaty that would allow licensed use of the formula for nations who wanted it. In return, Israel would be given protection from her enemies by the Global Community. This treaty, which would last for seven years, was signed at the Knesset by both governments, which unknowingly by most of the participants would usher in the seven-year period called the Tribulation. Past the signing of the treaty, it is not known what else became of the synthetic fertilizer formula, except that it was probably still in use by the Global Community throughout the Tribulation period. However, Mwangati Ngumo, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, who hoped to gain access to the formula to help his own country was purposely denied any access to it, making him a hated man in his country of Botswana.
