| - Stormtroopers originated as Clones of Jango Fett. Clone Troopers were an army made for the republic during the Clone Wars. After the Clone Wars, Emeror Palpatine ordered Order 66 which made the Clone troopers turn against the Jedi. Later, Clone Troopers were known as Stormtroopers and worked in the Death Star I and II. They existed until the Empire's death. Stormtroopers also came in Sandtrooper, Clone Trooper, AT-AT Driver, Snowtrooper, Scout trooper, and Shadow trooper form.

They are the evolution of the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic, which were renamed stormtroopers under the formation of the Empire. Members of the Rebel Alliance SpecForce had several terms for stormtroopers, including whitehats, plastic soldiers, and snowmen. Other slang terms for stormtroopers are the "Boys in White", "Plastic Boys", and the eponymous "Stormies".
