  • Found in Canyon biomes (and rarely in desert Dunes biomes), spawns on Sandstone, Ruddy Canyonstone and other rocks that the Canyon-biomes are made of - also in player-created arenas/artifical biomes. It might be of help to add Mineral Water to artificial biomes to make more Trogs spawn, but this will usually also make other creatures spawn as well.
  • Trog is a common name for humans that became infected with the Troglodyte Degeneration Contagion (or "TDC"), and slowly degenerated into scampering troglodytes who fear the light.
  • Trog was a male Ferengi individual who lived in the 24th century. In the year 2372, Quark bribed Trog with latinum in an attempt to locate Quark's cousin, the weapons dealer Gaila. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
  • Trog is a specialized lingo based on Or'zet that originated in Seattle's Ork Underground. It has replaced or subsumed Tunnel Talk which was an ork/troll street language prior to the release of the Or'zet Codex.
  • "Trog" was a term used by natives of the "P7E planet" to refer to the lowest class of resident. It was likely an insult, although those who were "Trogs" used the word of themselves. "Trogs" were essentially a slave class, used by the authorities to mine the rocks which had coalesced around what remained of the P7E. In order of societal rank, "Trogs" were commanded by Guards, who were in turn commanded by the Seers, and ultimately, the Oracle.
  • The trogs (sometimes spelled trocks) are creatures like "rocks with teeth, given to infesting wells, dungeons, and latrines". Dure had a flesh-eating trock apparently bound to him, which he kept hidden in his pocket. By accident or on purpose, it was dropped inside Higbert's clothes during a scythe-arms lesson. It irritated Higbert, maddening him and causing him to windmill his deadly blades.

Quote
  • Trocks. The Builders brought them to Rathillien. Their digestive juices dissolve stone, you see, so they were useful in temple masonry and, I suppose, in hollowing out tunnels like this. […] [T]hey eat other things as well: lichen, boots, feet… […] Most areas around our temples have a problem with them, off and on. They don't like light, though.

All "Trogs" — just like all residents of that pseudo-planet — were in fact descended from the Minyans who had originally manned the P7E. Eventually, a sizable number of Trogs escaped on the R1C. A few Trogs, namely Idmon, Idas and Naia, made contact with the Fourth Doctor, Leela and K9. (TV: Underworld)

It irritated Higbert, maddening him and causing him to windmill his deadly blades. Dure also used his trock to eat through the lock during the Winter War. It exudes acid that dissolves metal as well as flesh, allowing fragments to be collected by black articulated feelers, and shoved into the trock's mouth.
