Adaga Rodar was a style developed by Ren Marek, son of Darth Vader's first apprentice Galen Marek, while training under the ex-Sith Lord Tyro. Due to much of his training being done alone, Marek developed this style of lightsaber combat based on a skill he already possessed: an affinity for knife-fighting.

  • Adaga Rodar was a style developed by Ren Marek, son of Darth Vader's first apprentice Galen Marek, while training under the ex-Sith Lord Tyro. Due to much of his training being done alone, Marek developed this style of lightsaber combat based on a skill he already possessed: an affinity for knife-fighting. Adaga Rodar, later known as "The Way of the Mynock" or more often as "The Acceleration Form" was, at its heart, a variation of Form V: Shien/Djem So combined with elements of Form IV: Ataru. The main difference was the fact that the lightsaber wielder could flip the handle, switching between standard grip and the Shien reversed grip. This allowed for varied attack speeds, height and angles, making a user of this style highly effective in duels or defending against an opponent armed with a blaster.
