The Elven smithy is a structure found in most Elven biomes. There are three similar but distinct variations of this structure, one for each Elven faction (minus the Elves of Dorwinion):
* the High Elven smithy, found in Lindon;
* the Galadhrim smithy, found in Lothlórien;
* the Wood-elven smithy, found in the Woodland Realm. Their most important features are the smith trader found inside, and the Elven forges.

There is also a ruined variant, the ruined Eregion smithy, which can be found in Eregion. This has no trader. It is clearly of High Elven origin, as it is made out of High Elven bricks.
