Ankerite is a Carbonite Mineral that usually grows with different types of rocks like iron. Ankerite is not transparent and can be commonly found yellowish brown, white, red, and grey. Ankerite was found and named after a man named Matthias J. Anker in 1825 who lived in Syria.
