Don't worry about the Dopps in the sky, they'll follow you down. Once on the ground layer, have your flying units land so that they can take advantage of the terrain's evasion bonus, except when they need to use melee attacks on airborne enemies. Platinuming this stage should be easy if you aim for it because the enemies are so easy to overkill. If anything, the difficulty is in not having an established team so early in the game.
