| - Tony Stark was the son of an inventor, Manhattan Project engineer, legendary innovator and a weapons developer Howard Stark and his wife Maria. Tony was born in 1970 and quickly stole the spotlight at an early age with his brilliant unique mind passed down from his parents. At age six, Stark built his first circuit board. At age 8 he built his first computer, Jet pack and car engine. He later graduated summa cum laude from MIT at age seventeen. After Tony turned 21, his parents died in a car accident and he inherited his father's business to fill the gap left from his father and became the youngest CEO of Stark Industries, a chief weapons manufacturer for the U.S. Military. Stark Industries would provide S.H.I.E.L.D. and other government groups with equipment, including weapons. Some of the equipment was necessary to rebuild the Rebirth Chamber. While CEO of his father's Company, he wanted to follow his father's legacy by creating smarter weapons, advanced robotics, and satellite targeting and combating world hunger with their Intelli-Crops Program and changing and protecting America in its interest around the globe and developed a strong reputation.
Golden Boy
In 2008, After demonstrating his newest weapon and its capabilities to the military spectators at Yuma Proving Ground, Stark and his employee and ex-United States Air Force Colonel Rhodey traveled to New York City to celebrate Tony's birthday at Stark Tower in
Manhattan. They arrive twenty minutes late with Pepper Potts , Obadiah Stane and Happy Hogan waiting for him. Their he was greeted by famous scientists, geniuses and celebrities from across the globe. There he met another scientist named Ho Yinsen who blamed Stark to be the man who developed uni-beams and hover platforms to combined them into siege weapons to destroy Yinsen's hometown. Confused for a moment, Tony then brushes this off and continues to party. Two days later in Beijing, Tony is entertaining three woman in a hot tub. The room is steamy and there are glasses of champagne around. The phone rings and a small screen with Pepper's image pops up but one of the woman pushes it down. She turns to make out with Tony. However, the phone rings again and the screen once more pops up. Tony stops the girl and talks to Pepper who tells him that Tony was gonna be late for another board meeting back at Stark Tower.
Captured
While traveling back to America, Stark's plane was shot down. As the smoke dissipates Tony can only hear his heart beating. He looks around and sees the plane heavily damaged. He then spots some body using a crowbar to get him out. He then passes out and was taken captive in the wintery mountains somewhere in Vietnam by a terrorist group called The Jade Dragons Tony suddenly wakes up and panics as he looks around. Yinsin calms him down while he pushes his head back onto the pillow. Tony looks and sees a iron machinery called "the iron lung" with a window on top that shows his heart beating. He asks what happened Yinsin tells him he was attacked. Yinsen explains that he was embedded several pieces of shrapnel in his chest from the plane, several fragments dangerously close to his heart and the machine is a form of a electromagnet, it's whats keeping the shrapnel from entering his heart thus keeping him alive. Tony thanks him & Yensin smiles and nods. Yinsin then apologizes to Stark after mistaking him for being the man that attacked his hometown. Moments later, three armed men break into the room. Stark was greeted by Wong Chu. An associate who offered their release if Tony builds a weapon for their own evil purposes, Tony then refuses. Wong's men then walks over and held Yinsin down while one of them points their gun at his head. Tony quickly agrees to help. Wong walks out saying he has a week to assemble their weapon or they'll kill them both. Knowing they would never keep up their end, Stark and Ho Yinsen instead made a plan to escape, and in order to be up and active again, He then suggests they streamline the Iron Lung device.
Birth of The Iron Man
He and Yinsen created a miniature The Repulsor Tech node, a smaller version of the arc reactor previously invented by his father, Howard Stark, which they then embedded into his chest to supply energy to the electromagnet protecting his heart. Together, began building an armored suit to help them escape.During this time, Yinsen also acts as Stark's mentor, showing him humility and telling him of the horrors his company has caused, making Stark reconsider his life. Soon the three enacted their escape plan; however, Wong and his men bursts in. Wong pulls out his gun as he tells the the two to demonstrate the device immediately. They walk over and Yinsin begins the "demonstration" by speaking in technical gibberish. With Wong distracted on Yinsin, Tony slips behind a large device. Yinsin continues the distraction and begins pounding the device. Wong pushes him aside and lifts the control panel revealing that the panels are not even connected to anything. He aims his gun at Yinsin intending to kill him. Yinsin closes his eyes until suddenly they hear something powering up behind the machinery.
The machinery blasts outwards and the room fills with dust. In the chaos large footsteps can be heard As the dust clears the large suit of armor stands ready to attack. The men begin firing at it. However, their bullets to no damage. The armor raises his massive arm and fires a beam at one of the men knocking him back. Another man begins firing but the armor grabs his head, lifts him up, and throws him at another man. Yinsin picks up a sonic gun and firing at the men, knocking them back with tremendous force. Stark uses the armor to defeat several incoming terrorists and destroy their weapons stockpile, but Yinsen is killed during the escape with his last words, Yinsen reassured Stark that it would be all right to leave him behind and urged him not to waste his life. As more guards came to his location, Tony activates jets in his boots and blasts off, flying away from The Jade Dragons. After crashing into the snow, he abandoned his armor, and traveled in the blistering snow for some time before U.S. military helicopters found him and carried him to safety.
Upon returning, Stark and Rhodey met with Pepper Potts then called a press meeting. Before they arrived, Stark asks what happend at Stark Island during the attack. Pepper tells him that Obadiah supposedly took care of the problem and filled in for Stark during his absence. At the meeting, Stark declared that his company would, for the foreseeable future, no longer manufacture weapons. This move shocked the press, many declaring that he must be suffering from PTSD. Obadiah Stane, told him that this move was blocked by the board members shortly after, worried that the decision would ruin the company.
Hostile Takeover
After Stark back from out of country two months later, he was met by a group of men in cars at the airport. The men tell him to put his hands in the air, Tony comply and steps out of his private jet as the men point guns at him. Tony asks what is going on and the leader introduces himself as Agent Sitwell of S.H.I.E.L.D. and places them under arrest. Sitwell states that the U.S. Government is accusing Stark of selling weapons to a scientific research terrorist group called A.I.M. Tony deny's it but Sitwell says they have documents confirming a sale. As he is being lead to a car Tony quickly turns and grabs the man behind him. The agent fires a few shots but misses. Tony knocks the gun out of his hand and pushes him into an oncoming agent. He runs to the car and gets in. The agents fire at the car but do no damage, obviously being bulletproof. Tony finds the key and speeds away.
Stark along with Rhodey returned back to New York only to find out his company was being sold to Obadiah Stane after Stark evaded arrest. Forced to leave his company soon. Tony points out that they are closed off from their offices, both at the Tower and at Stark Island. He then hears about A.I.M attack on the city over the radio. Inside Stark Tower S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are tearing apart the offices. Pepper's cell phone rings and she grabs it before any of the agents can. She answers and starts talking to her mother and walks away. On the street at a payphone Tony wonders about her mother. Rhodey stands guard outside. Pepper keeps up the act as she heads to the women's bathroom. The two male agents following her are stopped at the door. She walks into a stall and asks Tony what is going on. He tells her he needs to get into his office. She tells him it will be difficult with all the agents running around. She tells him that she will make sure the East door is unlocked. Pepper returns to the office with the agents. She looks at all of them then drops a stack of papers. The agents quickly dive in to look them through.
She then calls her own cell phone and pretends she is talking to Tony. She loudly asks how they got into the lobby and the agents go running while Tony and Rhodey come through and thank her. Rhodey walks up wondering why they would come there just to do business. Tony clears a spot off his desk, puts his hand on it, and says the code word Maria. J.A.R.V.I.S. accepts the code word and fingerprints and the desk suddenly drops, the back wall moves away, and a large door opens up. Pepper and Rhodey are astounded as they first see the armory hidden behind there. Tony thanks Pepper again and steps through the door. Rhodey joins him just as the door closes. Tony and Rhodey head deeper into the room. They enter a large dark room and Tony turns on the lights revealing a large collection of armors. Tony introduces Rhodey to his series of Iron Tech exo-suits. He claims that each one can accomplish what would otherwise take months to do. He says he has suits that could go into the sea, a volcano, space, or any other hostile environment. Each suits are equipped with heavily armed, advanced weaponry and flight capability with numerous R.T. nodes placed in every armor to empower them. He is confident that they will change the world. Tony looks over to see Rhodey amazed at the Iron Tech armors But Tony wanted to keep it top secret and tell him they have to focus on taking down A.I.M. Later on, Obadiah Stane secretly recovered the first Iron Man armor in Vietnam with the help of Jade Dragons and started working with A.I.M. to create a power source.
Becoming a Hero
Later A.I.M. sent a giant siege robot into Manhattan thumb|130px|Iron-Man in search for the robot as a distraction for the U.S. Government, while A.I.M. attacks a town in Latveria to serve as their new base of operations with many people their in danger. After Tony defeated the giant robot with one his suits painted in Red and Gold and found out it was sent by A.I.M., Tony was told that A.I.M. was attacking a town and releasing siege bots and troops in Latveria. Angry, Tony flew there to put a stop to it and prevent innocent lives from being taken. Tony arrived and engaged the attackers and quickly realized that the tech A.I.M. was using were actually built with Stark Industries components. S.H.I.E.L.D. troops arrived later, in the midst of the battle, also armed with Stark's tech to help Stark. The enemies were all defeated, but Tony wasn't pleased that A.I.M. and S.H.I.E.L.D. had their hands on Stark tech.
As Tony Stark, he journeys back to his ocean side mansion at Malibu California, with Rhodey and Pepper meeting him their, furious about his weapons being sold to the wrong hands, including S.H.I.E.L.D. Pepper looked into the company's database to find out that someone
from Stark Industries had been supplying A.I.M. with weapons from Stark Industries even before his capture which means Tony's capture happened for a reason. Pepper then asked if that Stark Industries is only to supply weapons for S.H.I.E.L.D. and the U.S. Army. After Rhodes informs him that A.I.M. has attacked a nuclear facility in Russia, Stark decides to confront them, Iron Man ends the nuclear energy robbery and detects a strong radiation signal underground. After following this signal Stark is confronted by Boris Bullski, who created a titanium armor similar to that of Iron Man, thus becoming the "Titanium Man". However, Stark is able to defeat Bullski and then returns to the United States. Rhodes then informs him that A.I.M. has attacked a military ship in the Arctic, and Stark once again prevents them from stealing nuclear energy, making him wonder why is A.I.M. going to so much lengths to steal nuclear energy.
While designing another Iron Man suit, Stark sends Pepper goes to Stark Island to find anything she can to get Tony his company back and find the shipping records, so Stark can track down the illicit shipments and destroy them. It was then that she discovers that Stane has been dealing under the table with A.I.M. and is using all of his info on Iron Man he can find to build his own suit he call the Iron Monger, hencing why A.I.M. was trying to steal nuclear energy. Pepper escaped before Stane could arrived back at the company. As Pepper was about arrive back at Stark's residence, her car was attacked and surrounded by armored A.I.M. grunts Stane finds out that Pepper hacked in to the Mainframe, he became enraged and heads to Stark Island, A.I.M.'s new hideout. There, Stane formulate a plan to have a group of A.I.M. hackers break into Tony's home and steal all the information on the Iron Man armor to make more suits for evil purposes. Stane then orders a group of A.I.M scientists to build the Iron Monger armor right away, while Stane and the A.I.M. hackers broke into Tony's home. Stane revealed that the reason why he's making deals with A.I.M. is because he never worked with him and was always selfish, but that weapons cancellation at the press conference is the main reasons why. One of Stane's men managed to stun Tony with a taser and stole his tech node from Stark's chest to power his new suit, leaving Stark to die. Using his first reactor to power his latest armor.
Retaliation
After hearing from Rhodes that the A.I.M. Agents also kidnapped Pepper, Stark suited up in his new armor called "the Silver Centurion". Stark then confronted Stane at Stark Island, A.I.M's new hideout in a new location, Stark took out the A.I.M grunts and he had a long battle with Stane throughout the surrounding area of Stark Island. In the final moments of the battle, with Stark's power supply running low, Stane managed to grab hold of Pepper and told Stark to remove his helmet and surrender or he would crush her neck in between his palms Stark, having detected interfering frequencies in his armor's systems through the battle, deduced that Stane wasn't experienced enough to pilot the armor without some help in the form of an external computer. He used his armor's pulse bolts to destroy the nearby building in Stark Island that contained that computer, causing Stane's Iron Monger armor to seize up and fell to the street below, sending Obadiah into a coma while Stark swooped in to catch Pepper. Now back in control of his company and the island being rebuild, Stark promoted Pepper as Chief Executive Officer of Stark Industries, and Stark's alter ego was dubbed "Iron Man" in the morning News and Obadiah is yet to wake up from his coma thus he won't cause anymore problems for Stark in a while. Tony later decided to keep his identity secret, and he made it appear as though Tony and Iron Man did not like each other and vowed to work to continue to work against A.I.M.'s forces and protect the innocent.
Armor Wars
Two years later, Tony Stark continued to help ensure peace in the world while also removing both Jade Dragons & A.I.M. terrorists, including saving a United Nations peacekeeping mission that was under attack. He also helped Navy SEALs destroy A.I.M.'s base of operations. While getting ready for the Gala Charity festival, Tony Stark records a journal message about how he will have to defend the Dataspine. He mentions Vista Corp, and how they tried to duplicate the Iron Man armor without success. Upon arriving at the festival with Happy Hogan as his driver, he was attacked by Anton Vanko who blames Stark for attacking his hometown back in the Cold War. Anton had a chest harness that fed the energy from the reactor into two electrical whips he could then use to cut through metal and electrify things with. He attacked Tony and Happy while Happy was driving. Tony was able to put on his Iron Man armor that was stored inside his vehicle at the time. While battling him, Stark asked him who sent him but Vanko only replied with "God". Upon almost killing Stark from electrocuting his armor, Happy Hogan defeated Vanko with a striking uppercut, and Vanko was sent to prison.
A couple days later, in his tower in Time Square, Pepper informed Tony that Stark Archives was being attacked. Tony Stark suited up in his new MK XV armor, but before he went, Rhodey asked if he could help out in the situation but Tony quickly denies the offer, saying he works best alone. Upon his arrival, he found it under attack by Vista Corp. He was then struck by an EMP bomb, which disabled him. He briefly lost consciousness, and upon coming to, he activated his armor's power reserves. He grimly decides that he should destroy the Dataspine to keep Vista Corp from getting the archives. Outside, Rhodey arrives in Stark's War Machine armor and intercepts some Vista Corp dropships. Iron Man makes contact with S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, who informs him that separatists under the command of a Russian General Shatalov have seized control of a Tesla facility.
During Iron Man's escort of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicopter forces, Fury informs Iron Man that Shatalov is working with the terrorist group Advanced Idea Mechanics to create the Crimson Dynamo suit for him. Upon learning that the suit is being developed at a power plant in Siberia, Fury mentions that he sent Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, to spy on the plant. Iron Man finds and protects Natasha from Shatalov's armored men. A S.H.I.E.L.D. transport is sent to their location, and Natasha is extracted while Iron Man and War Machine battle Shatalov in his Crimson Dynamo armor and Vanko who this time was in a crafted armor. The four got into a heated battle until Iron Man kills off Vanko but leaving Shatalov alive for answers. The defeated Shatalov reveals that A.I.M. was behind the theft of the J.A.R.V.I.S. AI and planned to use it to create their ultimate weapon, Ultimo.
The team learns that Kearson DeWitt was behind the attack led by Shatalov and that he worked at Stark's Theoretical Weapons Division until Stark shut it down. Aside from DeWitt working on the prototype to the Arc Reactor, Pepper also reveals that he had a secret project called P.R.O.T.E.A.N.. Inside an A.I.M. base, Kearson uses his PROTEAN technology to merge with an enormous metal suit and become Ultimo. With the merge complete, DeWitt has his men upgraded with P.R.O.T.E.A.N. implants. Arriving at the base, War Machine battles P.R.O.T.E.A.N. soldiers while Iron Man searches for DeWitt. J.A.R.V.I.S. detects Ultimo shortly after the base is secured with help from S.H.I.E.L.D. When the giant Ultimo arrives, War Machine disables some of its arc reactors while Iron Man fights DeWitt/Ultimo within. Upon defeating DeWitt/Ultimo, Iron Man learns that the effects on DeWitt are irreversible.
War Machine finishes Ultimo off while the Helicarrier rams into it. After this, Rhodes departed with the War Machine armor without serious objection from Stark. A day later, upon Stark's return to his office at the tower, he spotted Fury sitting in his chair, Tony knew why Fury was really there for. After helping S.H.I.E.L.D. take down Shatalov and Dewitt, Fury thinks that Tony supplies Iron-Man' suits and he wanted to know where Iron Man is. Tony kept up his charade and claimed that Stark Industries doesn't make weapons of destruction anymore. Before Fury could ask about War Machine, Pepper interrupted and told Tony that his helicopter was ready to talk him to his meeting with the governor. Tony went up to the roof followed by Fury. Fury then reiterated that it was a matter of national security, but Stark ignored. He then got into his copter and flew off while Fury gets informed of more superhuman activity happening in Illinois, Chicago and leaves.
The Avengers Offer
A year later, Tony Stark agreed to help S.H.I.E.L.D. to continue the search for a world war II super-soldier Captain America and in honor of his father since him and Cap had a good relationship with eachother way back then. Two days later after the search was a success Tony began patrolling the streets of New York in his Iron-Man armor, Tony detected radio transmissions from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and realized they were watching him. Iron Man flew through the city while being pursued by S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft, led by Fury. Iron Man detected that the aircraft were firing on him and dodged it. However, an aircraft appeared in front of him and saw a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent shoot an arrow at him. He was surprised when he detected a man that was shrunken to the size of an ant riding along the flying arrow. The ant man then grew in normal size and knocked Iron Man out of the sky. On the ground he was quickly surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers. Fury had landed and walked up to Iron Man. Iron Man pointed his arm mounted weapon at him giving him ten seconds to explain. Fury told the armored hero that the planet was in danger and he was putting a team a select group of super-powered individuals from around the world to counter a global threat. He wanted Iron Man on the team. But ultimately Iron Man withdrew from seeking his personal involvement, stating that he works better alone. He then emitted a pulse that disabled all the S.H.I.E.L.D. weapons. He teased Ant Man about his outfit, then left. Later, back in his tower in New York, Tony talked with Pepper Potts about what happened that day, he was then convinced by Pepper to join Fury's team.
The Initiative
Tony went with Pepper's wishes. He then suited up as Iron Man and went to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters to check out what was going on. He found Betty Ross, scientist Bruce Banner, Hank Pym , Janet Van Dyne , Natasha Romanoff, Agent Coulson, Dr. Jane Foster and the reborn Captain America were in a conference room listening to Fury explain about Project: Avenger. The team would be under the command of Captain America. Fury explained to them how a secret Hydra fortress off the coast of Norway was built to launch a gem-powered warhead in World War II. Fury showed them pictures that Rebel Ralston had taken. He told the group about how Cap had stopped the missile from reaching America.
Betty asked how Hydra got the infinity Gem's capabilities. Fury told them it was because of shape shifting aliens called the Skrulls. The Skrulls had been hiding out on Earth since World War II. Three ships have been hovering around nuclear power plants and military facilities. Fury went on to explain that the Skrulls failed to reclaim all the wreckage from the ship that was destroyed along with the early gem powered missile. Fury showed them a piece of the hull, made of metal they call Vibranium. The metal is indestructible and absorbs energy like a sponge. Fury warned that stopping this threat may not be easy, but Iron Man and the rest of the group decided to continue.
First Mission
While at the meeting, the Skrulls infiltrated the SHIELD's Pegasus building where they kept additional satellites ready to launch and to gain access to an Infinity Gem known as the Power Gem. Iron Man left the meeting while the rest of the team got into their outfits and were taken by a S.H.I.E.L.D. transport to the base. Iron Man found the base on his own and met the group there. Cap explained about the base's automated defenses. However, Wasp didn't think she would set off the defenses and went on ahead. Cap told Iron Man to scan the base, while Ant-Man shrinks down to disable the defenses systems and Widow to find Hawkeye Iron Man flew overhead while Wasp, Natasha and Cap entered the facility. Wasp is surrounded by infrared triggers causing it to explode. While scanning Iron Man finds the Skrull soldier standing over Wasp's body, Cap ordered him to stay put as he was still needed above the base but Iron Man ignored his order as he dove down and crashed through the ceiling. He destroyed a turret with his repulsor beam.
He fired a couple of rockets at a door so he could crash through the remains. He entered the hall as he came into contact with the Skrull soldier but he did not notice a turret behind him. The turret blasted him into one trigger which bounced him into another trigger. This knocked Tony unconscious and powered down the Iron Man suit. Meanwhile that same skrull took the appearance of wasp and takes her place while the other skrulls captures the wasp and took her to their ship. One of the Skrull, having succeeded in its mission, left the facility and activated bombs destroying most of it. Iron Man is wounded and begins to suffocate under his mask. Captain America removes it to reveal his true identity. The Skrull managed to escape with one of the infinity Gem and hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database and satellites which causes the team to fail the mission. The five got up and left the burning facility.
Tony completely took off his helmet as he walked out. Back at the Triskellion, Fury arrived and, upon seeing Tony, he yelled at the entire team for failing to stop the aliens. He points out that because they disobeyed orders the alien got away. Rogers then blames himself for his failures of not leading the team correctly but Tony claims that the team and Stark himself failed him. The team settled their differences and decided to work as a team. But after all this, the Wasp impostor then reveals her true form as one of the Skrulls as she quickly tries to take all of the team out but was quickly sub-dubbed. After failing to get answers for where they're holding wasp from the imposter, Nick gets his team together again. Later, Nick got his team together again, and they headed for Micronesia, a place rumored to be the alien's base and where they were holding Janet prisoner. The team and S.H.I.E.L.D. forces headed to Micronesia via Helicarriers. In Micronesia, Captain America immediately noticed something was wrong and called out Iron Man. In the facility, a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers find a nuclear bomb and it is immediately detonated, engulfing the entire island and destroying the helicarrier fleet.
Battle for Earth
Bruce Banner used an experimental formula in an attempt to control the Hulk. At the same time, the Skrulls entered Earth's atmosphere and started attacking Cities across the globe at a high scale, including New York City. A bolt of lightning comes out of nowhere at Manhattan, killing some Skrulls. Korvac goes to get ready , as the team and hundreds of SHIELD soldiers appear from the smoke. It is revealed that a mysterious god who call himself Thor arrived at the nick of time to help, as Iron Man's force field helped saved many of the soldiers and the team from the nuclear blast, allowing Thor to transport everyone all the way back to New York with his hammer, Mjolnir. With Cap in charge, the team moved on the attack. Cap tells Iron Man and Thor to go into the sky, providing air support and take out any flying Skrulls. Iron Man grabbed one of the alien soldiers and flew around with it. He let go of the soldier so that Giant Man could hit it like a baseball into one of the ships. Iron Man flew to the hole the soldier created. He fired into the hole causing the ship to crash and explode. Iron Man and Giant Man took down a second ship and caused chaos, destroying every alien aircraft they could see. Stark and the team reformed and came into confrontation with two individuals. The two are leading the Skrull invasion whose names are Korvac and the other was Nebula, their captain. With the combined efforts of Iron Man, Captain America, Giant-Man, Wasp, Thor, and even Hulk, the superheroes finally managed to subdue the villains, meanwhile the team discovers that Skrulls had hacked into the SHIELD files once more and deployed a nuclear missile into the area. Iron Man intercepted the missile managed to divert it into the Skrull mothership beyond. The destruction of the alien vessel also caused the remaining Skrulls in New York and around the world to literally collapse. His life support systems spent, and energy depleted, Tony collapsed into unconsciousness.
Cap watched as Iron Man fell and crashed creating a large cloud of dust. Cap ran over and rolled him on his back. He took off his helmet so he could breathe. Thor came over and knelt next to Cap and Iron Man. He held up Mjolnir and storm clouds formed over Manhatten. Thor used his lightning attack to recharge Iron Man's battery. Iron Man woke up as the clouds disappeared. He sat up realizing that Thor really is a god.
In the aftermath as the team was going to put Korvac and Nebula in S.H.I.E.L.D's holding facility, Banner lost control of the Hulk and started attacking the team. After another long battle between Hulk and the team, Wasp finally managed to blind the Hulk by stinging him in the face while Natasha hops on Hulk's back and injects him with antidote that Bruce created to slow his heart rate. And with the help of Betty Ross to calm him down, the Hulk revert back into Bruce Banner, rendering unconscious. The next day, Korvac and Nebula were held in a S.H.I.E.L.D holding facility while Banner was held in a special cell and had to take medication frequently, and the Power Gem is now kept safe in Asgard thanks to Thor. The team later met back at the Triskelion and Tony Stark threw a party to celebrate the day they saved Earth. And on that day, Tony and the other members of the team officially declared themselves "The Avengers".
Personality
Tony Stark is, for the lack of a better word, complicated. Tony is seen by others as being an arrogant jerk. He appears to be more interested in making money and dating beautiful women than with helping people. This often earns him the ire of those who do not know or have limited dealings with him. This all changed after his capture by The Jade Dragons, he realized what his weapons had done and turned over a new leaf, stopping all weapon production and using whatever weapons remained to become Iron Man. Plagued by many vices, Stark is prone to womanizing, pride and most surprisingly, alcoholism. Tony puts a lot of time and care into each suit of armor he builds. An inventive mechanical engineering prodigy, Stark is constantly creating new technology and looking for ways to improve it, but has shown that he has little concern for the effect his weapons have on others. Being a superhero requires some level of selfless heroism. He is not afraid to risk himself to save others when the time is necessary. He does not always take all the credit and tries to give it to other rescue workers, even if he did most of the work.
Despite his apparent selflessness, he is quite arrogant as both Tony and Iron Man. As Tony he will often belittle business partners that he does not like, such as Nick Fury, and claim more recognition than he deserves. Though in truth he does deserve a lot of recognition. He is also a loner. As Iron Man he often feels he is the best person for any job. That is why he initially passed on the offer to join the Avengers and denied Rhodey's help to apprehend the attackers at Stark Archives. At times he underestimates his opponent, believing that his armor can defeat anything. He will ignore orders from his superiors if he feels he can accomplish something. However, he fails to realize that orders are made for a reason, which caused him extensive damage. This causes Tony to act like a lone wolf, often ignoring the help of others. Eventually after fighting alongside with The Avengers, he realized his limitations and readily worked with other people again. On the battlefield he is dangerous, confident, and sometimes ruthless in combat. He is willing to attack without restrain, using all of his power to defeat his opponents. He is also inventive with his abilities, such as combining his punches with his energy blasts to hit harder. He had also shown to have no qualm with killing his opponents unlike his Earth-616 counterpart.
