The cat has a soft spot for Human Kimberly and loves singing. He is a great cook - but most of the Scottish dishes he cooks are considered unedible. He loves to sing, but the hobby quite regularly irritates his older brother, Mr. Blik. He has an orange patch on his left eye and is allergic to both broccoli and chocolate which, if touched, will turn him into a "Mr. Hyde"-like monster. In some episodes, Gordon is shown with green-colored eyes, but in others he has blue.

Gordon's deception in Catscratch Adventures, is a mixture of William Wallace, Gordon's deception in Gear, as well as his deception in the original Catscratch. Gordon has once posed for a major Scotland magazine cover, which showed him in clad in a frilly kilt, while smiling like a girl, posed against a Stonehenge background. Later on in the series, Gordon had major character development, starting with the Season 3 opener, "Gordon Quid and the Dragon of Fittytown".
