  • The neighborhood is the primary form of player interaction with other players in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
  • A neighborhood (or neighbourhood; the British spelling is frequently used) is a geographically localised community located within a larger city, town, or suburb. In Lovia, neighborhoods are divisions of cities or towns. A neighborhood is usually governed by a Chairman.
  • The Neighborhood is the development in which the Figglehorns and their neighbors live.
  • The Neighborhood is where Cub Condos are. You can decorate your own if you have a furry friend or visit other peoples' Cub Condos. You can also play Hide and Seek.
  • A neighborhood in The Sims series is a place that consists of lots. Initially, neighborhoods were small (10 lots in The Sims base game) and consisted of only residential lots, but later expansions for The Sims allowed community lots. This pattern was continued into The Sims 2; with Open for Business, Sims could buy community lots and establish businesses there. Residential lots could also be rezoned as dormitories (with The Sims 2: University), hotels (The Sims 2: Bon Voyage), and apartments (The Sims 2: Apartment Life).
  • Each country travels across the sea of darkness on their own orbits, like stars. Yūgo Kuga called this existence "Planet Nation" (惑星(わくせい)国家(こっか) Wakusei Kokka?). Their movements are a bit different from those of planets orbiting the sun, but many of planet nations brush by human world while revolving closer and farther. Every planet runs on a star (which itself is a Trigger). The star must be kept fueled, or it will die, and the land would eventually crumble. Only when they're close to human world, they can send out their away ship and open a Gate to carry out an invasion.

The Sims 4 treats portions of its worlds as neighborhoods. Additional neighborhoods, independent of a larger world, are also planned. Neighborhoods themselves do not retain the open world concept of The Sims 3; Sims are able to move freely within the public spaces of that neighborhood, visiting any lot will incur a loading screen. Moreover, each neighborhood is loaded independently of each other.

Only when they're close to human world, they can send out their away ship and open a Gate to carry out an invasion. Many planet nations don't have fixed orbits and fly around freely in the Neighborhood. These have been called "Errant Nations" (乱星(らんせい)国家(こっか) Ransei Kokka?).
