Johanna Gollogly (née Moriarty) (13 August 1901-80) was a politician in the Greenwich area. Born in Greenwich, she was the daughter of Michael and Johanna Moriarty. Her father was a general labourer working for Greenwich Borough Council and had been in County Kerry in Ireland. In 1924 she married James Gollogly. In 1945 she was elected to Greenwich Council. and was Mayor of Greenwich for 1947-49. Elected as a Labour Party member of the London County Council elected at a by-election to represent Greenwich on 22 July 1948 and held the seat until 1955. Gollogly Terrace is named after her [1]
