Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift is a video game for the Nintendo DS. It is a sequel to the hit Game Boy Advance game Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. It has many similarities to the first game, though it also includes many new characters and 25 classes in addition to the 42 from the last game (except for Morpher).

Viele der im Vorgänger verwendeten Hintergründe und Charaktere tauchen erneut auf, auch die spielerische Umsetzung ist nahezu identisch geblieben.

- A brand new region of Ivalice is used for Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, with the game taking place in Jylland, at the junction of two landmasses, one of which is far-western Ordallia. The Job system from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance returns, with Action abilities, Reaction abilities, and Passive (Support) abilities. The game has many traits from Tactics Ogre, like MP starting from 0 and gaining treasure after defeating a foe. Unlike Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, slanted terrains are available.
