| - The Hob is the Stage 1 form of the Hellfire group.
- Hob was Galen Grimwrath's squire who swore vengeance against Taliesin for his master's death. His shade ended up corrupted by Mardük's madness and he became the twisted guardian of Xar Daeon who fought against Khasra III during the Second Battle of Vulpengaard Keep. He was eventually banished by Khasra who wielded Morninglight, the sword which had once belonged to Galen.
- Hob is one of the main antagonists in the 1990 sci-fi sequel film RoboCop 2. He is portrayed by Gabriel Damon.

- Hob was a very young and powerful member of the Nuke Cult. Despite his age, Hob was a ruthless and violent hoodlum, adept at both hand-to-hand fighting and all firearms, from pistols to 50 cal heavy weapons. As well as his formidable fighting skills, Hob was also an excellent businessman, able to manage and control a sizeable group of people many times his age, and an intelligent thinker.

- A Hob is a monster appearing in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright and Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. Hobs come in many shapes and sizes, but the only type specified in the novels are mountain hobs, of which the stonecrush is the heaviest. Nobbon Half-hob, one of Lord Dubiel's lieutenants, had a hob father and a human mother. Varve asked what sane human would want to mate with a hob, but Nobbon explained that "Lord Dubiel is a very persuasive individual, however. Once under his influence, many have found themselves capable of hitherto unthinkable acts."
