In The Sims 4, romantic socials may make Sims feel Flirty. In The Sims 2 and later games, romantic socials will affect the gender preference of Sims who engage in them. The "Check Sim Out" interaction in The Sims 2: Nightlife can be used to rate a specific Sim for attraction. This may affect the feelings of not only the Sim initiating it, but the Sim being checked upon. Because of this, the Sim being checked upon may autonomously end up initiating flirty interactions with the Sim that was checking them out, usually provided they have a compatible chemistry.
