The church has its national offices in New York City but its leader, the Presiding Bishop, is installed ceremonially at Washington National Cathedral. Its governing body, the general convention, has no fixed home today, meeting at a different site each time it convenes. The incumbent Presiding Bishop is the Most Rev. Frank Tracy Griswold III. Like many other Anglican churches, it has entered into full communion with Lutherans, in this case with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
