  • Dyes are items that were introduced in Beta 1.2 (Originally Called Wool Dyes) they are used for Dyeing various blocks and entities as well as crafting Banner patterns.
  • Dyes are made by Aggie the witch in Draynor Village and are used in the quests, Prince Ali Rescue and Goblin Diplomacy. They can also be used to change the colour of Capes.
  • Dyes are a non-consumable trade good. They are used by a velvet weavery and dyeworks along with raw silk to produce velvet. Dyes can be bought at almost half price at Jelkala and then sold for more than their base price in nearby Veluca. While the distance is greater, dyes can also be purchased at nearly a quarter of their base price in the Sarranid villages around Ahmerrad and Bariyye and sold for an even greater profit. However, the desert in this region is home to Desert Bandits and can be dangerous to traverse.
  • Dyes add a touch of colour to your world. They can be used to dye clothing like regular leather armour or Harad Robes. Since Public Beta 28 it's also possible to dye your pouches. For more diversity in a building, add coloured clay, tiles, glass or carpets!
  • Prior to patch 2.4.3, each dye was a one-use bottle. As of the said patch, each dye is applied by Mystic and no longer sold by vendors. A dye can change the color of an item's textures. As of patch 2.0., even legendary items can be dyed. Dying an item changes the color of armor or even makes it invisible (literally dying it into transparent color). There is a total of 22 different dyes, including two dyes that are only available to players who bought the Collector's Edition. Transmogrification does not reset the coloring, using the applied color for any item model you transmogrify the painted item into.
