Ver-tak Kai was among the ranks of Padawan learners alive during the Clone Wars. At the capitulation of the war, he was part of a diplomatic mission, alongside his Master and a handful of other Jedi Knights. They were almost tricked by Vader's false message at the start of the Great Jedi Purge. However, Kai's Master trusted his instincts, and the team of Jedi disembarked from their diplomatic mission and went into hiding. Ver-tak Kai was among the ranks of Padawan learners alive during the Clone Wars. At the capitulation of the war, he was part of a diplomatic mission, alongside his Master and a handful of other Jedi Knights. They were almost tricked by Vader's false message at the start of the Great Jedi Purge. However, Kai's Master trusted his instincts, and the team of Jedi disembarked from their diplomatic mission and went into hiding. Later, Kai's Master and many of his hiding counterparts would be killed by Vader and his agents, but Kai remained hidden until he was found out by the Baran Do Sages. Even as the galaxy had descended into darkness they requested that he accept an infant by the name of Zorin Pol to raise and train in the ways of the Jedi. Ver-tak Kai was reluctant to accept but invariably did. The two traveled the stars in secrecy until news of a New Jedi Order reached his ears sometime between 6 and 7 ABY when he then also took on the mature Badiri Nzuri as an apprentice. He was promoted to the rank of Jedi Master in 16 ABY. Ver-tak Kai is a Non-Player Character, for storyline use only.
