Ded Moroz (Russian: Дед Моро́з [dʲɛt mɐˈros], Belarusian: Дзед Мароз, Ukrainian: Дід Мороз, diminutive Dedushka Moroz Russian: Дедушка Мороз) is a Slavic (except for Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnian and Croatian areas in parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina) version of Santa Claus. The literal translation is "Old man Frost", often translated as "Grandfather Frost".
