  • Levan was apparently a common scout from the Town of Xykroy; this ring was given to him by his younger sister. Levan served with Emperor Fernan's army at the Battle of Three-Army Pass. Captured by mercenary forces serving the Great Neck Empire, he was tortured to death for information that enabled the defeat of the Xalar Empire, and Emperor Fernan's death. Xykroy was a town on the border of the Xalar Empire and the Great Neck Empire. During the Winter Solstice of Year -1, great huge bolts of shadow and spirit erupted from the ground and seas all over Darelth. Though the cause of these bolts is unknown, the results were obvious. All people, dragons, animals, and monsters within the area of the bolt died - vanished without a trace, leaving behind only buildings, trees, and other inanimate objects. Xykroy was the most obvious of these - the entire town lay within the shaft of the bolt. That Winter Solstice was later taken as the basis for the common calendar in use today.
