The National Sports Festival of Surea (全國體育大會 Zengukku Daikyu Daikai) is an annual sports competition held in Surea. The abbreviated name is Guttai (國體). For a full week each July, about 35,000 athletes representing 22 cities and prefectures throughout the country compete in about 40 separate sports. The site rotates among the major cities, including Konggei, Hondu, Jokong, Tengei, Shidu and Dongdu. The 2004 festival was held in Chiwon. The 2010 festival will be held in Fuzusaki. Competitions are held in High School, College, and Regular Divisions.
