It was formerly the meeting site of the People's Chamber of Dorvik of the numerous instances of the People's Republic of Dorviks. The building was named after Raymond Petrov who in July 2958 turned the government from a dictatorship to a free Republic. It is sometimes referred to as the Palace of the Republic (Dundorfian: Palast der Republik) due to it's architectural style.
